On Friday 26th January, the Hunts School Sports Partnership and South Cambs School Sports Partnership hosted the English Schools FA Year 5/6 Girls Football Pokemon Cup County Finals.
8 primary schools, who had qualified for the finals via district competitions, attended Cambourne Leisure Centre for an action-packed morning. The schools were initially split into two pools, each playing playing 3 group stage matches before the top two placed schools progressing through to the semi-finals.

Congratulations to Elton CofE Primary School who now progress to the regional finals as Cambridgeshire representatives in March. We wish them good luck and look forward to hearing how they get on.
Game On Girls Football Activators from Hinchingbrooke School refereed the event confidently and competently, acting as positive female role models for the players throughout the tournament.
