Who We Are

  • One Organisation providing a bespoke service to support schools to maximise the Sport Premium and meet all of the expected outcomes for Ofsted.
  • Flexible to meet schools’ needs.
  • We work with teachers to ensure that all children have a positive inclusive experience of physical education.
  • We act in the interest of schools and their pupils, supporting schools to embed sustainable high quality physical education.

Our team of highly qualified physical education teachers and sports coaches provide a bespoke service with a range of educational activities for schools to engage all children and young people in physical activity.
Founded on a culture of strong partnership working to bring schools more opportunities, we work with:

  • Prominent national organisations such as The Youth Sports Trust, Association for Physical Education and National Governing Bodies of Sport
  • Established Community programmes, local Sports Clubs and Change for Life Clubs
  • Educational establishments – Local primary, secondary and special schools accessing our high quality educational programmes.

The Hunts School Sports Partnership (SSP) is based at Hinchingbrooke School in Huntingdon, Cambridgeshire. We are physical education specialists who work with schools in the West of Cambridgeshire across the areas of Huntingdon, St Ives, Sawtry, St Neots and Ramsey. We support schools to deliver high quality physical education in the curriculum and after school to engage children and young people in healthy active lifestyles through extensive one to one training and support. Our team of experienced physical education teachers and sports coaches are extensively trained to work in primary schools and raise standards in the delivery of physical education. Following the removal of government funding for SSPs we now offer a service to schools that supports them to deliver the Sport Premium through a range of activities.

Sport Premium funding has been allocated to primary and special schools by the Government from the academic years September 2013 – date. For more information click here

We have been in existence since 2006 and during that time we have worked with the 68 schools across Huntingdonshire to deliver the Olympic Legacy for London 2012 and the previous government strategies for Physical Education.

We work collaboratively with schools and partner organisations to provide a wide range of opportunities for all children and young people.

The Hunts School Sports Partnership hosts the School Games Organiser and delivers the Governments strategy for competitive sport in schools through the School Games. For more information go to www.yourschoolgames.com Further details of competitions can be seen on our competitions page.
