On Thursday, 23rd May, the One Leisure St Ives Outdoor Centre buzzed with excitement as it hosted a thrilling series of Year 3/4 Girls Football tournaments. The day was split into two sessions, morning and afternoon, featuring an impressive turnout of 18 schools and 172 young athletes.
Morning Event Highlights
The morning event saw 8 schools competing fiercely for the top spot. Each team displayed remarkable skill and sportsmanship. In the end, Westfield A emerged victorious, showcasing exceptional teamwork and strategy.
Afternoon Event Highlights
The competition heated up further in the afternoon with 10 schools vying for the win. After a series of intense matches, Histon and Impington Brook clinched the title, overcoming Crosshall Junior School in an exciting finale to the day.
A Day to Remember
The tournaments were a resounding success, with every girl giving her best effort and enjoying the spirit of friendly competition.
